Methodology
Every row is a verbatim sentence read from the named source's own page through our fetch service on the date shown, hash-pinned to the stored read (the sha of the page's visible text; the raw page is mirrored to R2).
15 of the 33 named sources that could be read published a usable figure; 18 published none and are recorded as not published, never filled in; 1 could not be read (blocked, dead or unreachable) and count nowhere.
The headline figures (median, minimum, maximum, quartiles) are over ONE figure per source in % (a source's median where its page yielded several accepted sentences), so N counts sources, never sentences; 147 candidate sentence(s) were refused by a reviewer with the reason recorded.
The fuller derivation this dataset is chartered to grow into (not yet what the figures above are; they are each source's own published figure as read): the ALL-IN take: for a given monthly revenue (and a given average order value), what each platform keeps once its plan fee is amortised, its own transaction percentage is applied and the processor's rate is added - a number no platform publishes, because each publishes only its own half.
Beside it the CROSSOVER, the monthly revenue at which a percentage platform (Substack 10%, Gumroad 10% + $0.50, Skool Hobby 10%) becomes dearer than a flat one, and the count of platforms whose headline is 0% while the fee lives in the processor line.
Changed-since on each read: a platform that adds a percentage, or moves a capability up a plan, is the news.
147 candidate sentences on these pages were refused by a reviewer; each refusal and its reason is recorded in the review ledger.
